General Policies – Kristy’s Dance Academy

Credit Card on File
Upon registration, each family must have a credit card on file. For those not wishing to enroll in auto-pay, the card will only be charged if your account becomes overdue. Please update your account information promptly if you receive a new card.

Tuition & Payments

  • Tuition and account balances must be current and paid at the beginning of each month.

  • Accounts are considered overdue if no payment is received by the 15th. An email reminder will be sent, and a $15 late fee may be applied.

  • In cases of continued delinquency, KDA reserves the right to remove a student from our roster.

  • If you are experiencing financial difficulties, please contact our office staff to discuss payment arrangements.

  • Tuition remains the same each month regardless of the number of weeks, student absences, holidays, or weather-related closures.

Classroom Policy
For the benefit of our students, parents, grandparents, and other visitors are not permitted in classrooms. We’ve found that children learn best without an audience during instruction.

  • A recital at the end of the year will provide families the opportunity to see what students have learned.

  • An assigned adult or teacher will greet students at the door and assist them to class.

  • For our youngest dancers, we understand separation can be difficult. Our experienced staff will follow the parent’s lead—either taking the child back or allowing them to try again another time. If your child enters class upset, our staff will check in with the teacher during class and keep you informed of their progress.

Weather Closures
In the event of inclement weather, please check our website, Facebook page, or Instagram for closure announcements. Make-up classes will be scheduled at the program’s discretion.

Absences & Withdrawals

  • Please email us if your child will be absent. Tuition is a monthly fee that holds your child’s spot in class, so absences will not be credited or refunded.

  • Make-up classes are only offered if KDA cancels a class.

  • If your child is no longer able to attend, notify our Office Manager, Crystal Nunnemaker, by email as soon as possible. Charges will continue until we receive notice.

  • All fees are non-refundable.
